Does APA have guidelines on the usage of hyphenation with compound adjectives?

APA has laid down the guidelines on when to use hyphen in compound adjectives. When the compound adjective comes before the noun it modifies, and the meaning of the term could be misread, a hyphen is often needed to make the meaning clear. (http://blog.apastyle.org/)
